Plathiena is a beach in north milos, in a cove which is somehow protected from the frequent meltemi wind.it is very close to plaka (2 km) and you can see it from the big church on the center of the capital. The access is very easy, on a narrow road in a good condition. And this is the way i still go to plathiena till now. Plathiena is by far my favourite beach on milos' peninsula with the villages (adamas included). A bit secluded and not organized, this beach doesn't get much frequented in summer, so it provides a nice place to relax. It certainly is a great place to rest in sun and beach and besides, there are several fishing villages near there that are worth visiting.
